Terms and Conditions for Referral
1. General Terms and Conditions of Programme
1.1 Eduaid Tuition Services (“Agency”) offers tutors and parents the opportunity to participate in its referral programme (“Programme”). The programme is administered by Eduaid Tuition Services.
1.2 The agency reserves the right to amend, modify or terminate the programme, including its administration methods and Terms and Conditions, at any time for any reason.
1.3 The agency reserves the right to disqualify any referrers from participating in the programme at its sole discretion without limitation if he/she does not comply with any of the Terms and Conditions or fails to comply with any applicable laws specified by the Singapore government.
1.4 By participating in the programme, the referrers are deemed to have read, understood and agreed to the Terms and Conditions specified in this document.
1.5 By participating in the programme, the referrers are deemed to have sought the clients’ consent to provide their names and contact information to the agency for the engagement of its services.
2. Definitions
For the purpose of this Terms and Conditions:
2.1 The “Agency” refers to Eduaid Tuition Services
2.2 A “Referrer” refers to an eligible individual who participates in this programme by referring qualified clients to the agency by providing their names and contact details.
2.3 A “Client” refers to a parent or student who engages the agency’s services to provide tutor(s).
2.4 The “Referral fee” refers to the payment made by the agency to the referrer after the successful collection of agency fees from a qualified client.
3. Eligibility
3.1 To be “Eligible”, a referrer must be an individual who is at least 18 years old and a resident in Singapore.
3.2 To be “Qualified”, a client has to:
(a) specify a budget which meets the “minimum hourly market rate” for the engagement of the tutor in accordance with the student’s level, subjects and tutor qualifications. The “minimum hourly market rate” is specified on this web page: https://eduaid.com.sg/tuition-rates.
(b) be a unique client to the agency. The client must not have been previously referred and/or previously engaged in the services of the agency.
4. Referral Fee
4.1 The quantum of the referral fee shall be 10% of the “Agency fee” collected from the client.
4.2 The “Agency fee” is usually calculated at 50% of the first month’s tuition fee charged to the parent or student.
4.3 For instance, if the tuition fee charged for the first month is $400. The agency fee collected shall be $200 (50% of the tuition fee). The referral fee payable to the referrer shall be $20 (10% of the agency fee).
4.3 In the event that multiple invoices are issued to the client in the first month due to the engagement of various tutors by the client, the referral fee will be calculated based on the invoice with the lowest tuition fee charged.
4.4 For instance, if the client engaged two tutors and there were two invoices issued with the charges of $300 for the first tutor and $400 for the second tutor in the first month, the referral fee payable to the referrer shall be $15 (10% of the agency fee based on the lowest invoice amount).
4.5 The referral fee can only be disbursed to the referrer after the agency successfully receives the payment of the agency fee from the client. The agency fee is usually collected after the tutor has successfully conducted four weeks of active lessons with the client.
4.6 The payment mode of the referral fee will be through Paynow or iBanking and be disbursed within 2-3 months from the date of the first lesson with the client.
