Have you ever wondered what it is like to make a living as a home tuition teacher in Singapore? Giving home tuition in Singapore can be a great way to connect with children and guide them through their studies, while supplementing your income at the same time. Additionally, home tuition in Singapore often offers flexible working hours. If becoming a home tutor in Singapore is something that sounds appealing to you, read on to find out more about how you can embark on this rewarding journey.

What are the different types of home tutors in Singapore?

A number of aspects you should consider when first deciding to become a home tutor are:

– The subjects you would teach

– The levels you would teach (Kindergarten, Primary, Secondary or JC)

– Whether you will be a full-time or part-time tutor

– Whether you wish to sign on with a tuition centre or be an independent tutor

Most home tuition teachers start off with one or two subjects as their primary focus – this is usually the subject you feel most comfortable teaching. They also centre on a particular age group to teach. It is worth noting that the older your tutees, the more qualifications or track records you may be expected to have. Generally, grades quickly increase in importance and difficulty to achieve as you move up the levels, with many parents looking for a clean A* or A1 from as early as PSLE all the way through JC.

If you are changing jobs to become a home tuition teacher in Singapore, it may be a good idea to start off with part-time tutoring first. This allows you to adjust to the job and be sure that it is something you want to do. You can easily take on tutoring as a side job since each session is usually not longer than 2-3 hours. Part-time tutors are normally paid by the hour or by session, while full-time tutors may be also paid according to similar schemes, or they may have signed a contract with a tuition centre.

Lastly, as a new home tutor, it may be easier for you to get new clients by working at a tuition centre or with a tuition agency, which will help to source prospective clients for you. Independent tutors have the luxury of managing their own income, schedules, locations and clients, but if you do not have many connections yet, your best bet to get started may be with a tuition centre.

What are the requirements to become a home tuition teacher in Singapore?

Aside from experience and reputation, a lot of parents look at a prospective tutor’s educational qualifications. The minimum qualification required to become a home tutor in Singapore is at least an ‘A’-level certificate or a Diploma. A JC experience is usually favoured over polytechnic, since the JC subjects and syllabus are generally more aligned with the content required for school exams. Of course, if you are a degree holder in the field you are tutoring, such as English, Maths or one of the Sciences, you can expect to command a higher pay. The most sought-after tutors are former MOE school teachers.

While an official tutoring certificate is not required to be a home tutor, it certainly helps. You may be interested in pursuing the Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) from NIE, which will allow you to teach in MOE schools. Adding this certificate to your qualifications will definitely boost your credibility!

How can you gain experience as a home tuition teacher in Singapore?

Experience and testimonials from your past students is your number one advantage as a tuition teacher. The competitive home tuition world can be a daunting one, especially if you have no prior experience with giving home tuition in Singapore. Given that most tuition agencies and parents would want an experienced tutor who is able to deliver results, it can be difficult to find ample opportunities to get some experience in the field. Well, one of the ways to rectify this is to volunteer as a tutor in non-profit organisations. For instance, plenty of childcare centres, churches, and charitable organisations provide tutoring services to less privileged students. It is possible to offer your tutoring services to one of these organisations to get a feel for tutoring students and build up your resume. While you may not get paid much, if at all, doing a few hours of community tutoring a week can really expose you to the different types of students and common techniques to tutoring them.

Alternatively, you may also be able to sign on as an assistant tutor at a tuition centre. Some tuition centres may be looking for assistants to help their tutors, especially for larger class sizes. While you may not be doing the main tutoring, you will be able to observe how an experienced tutor conducts each class and get some opportunities to interact with the students.

Video games are all around us today, and many of them would not be possible without utilising physics concepts. Many physics principles that we take for granted have been painstakingly designed by game developers to offer a more realistic and intuitive experience. If you have been attending physics tuition in Singapore, you will no doubt have noticed some of these physics concepts applied to video games. What are some of the ways physics is used in video games?

Even on simple arcade games such as Jezzball, we can see the principles of physics at play. In Jezzball, multiple balls bounce around a rectangular box. The player has to “capture” as much of the rectangle as possible by dividing it with vertical or horizontal lines, but if any of those lines collide with a ball, the player loses a “life”. The number of balls increments with every level.

If you observe the movement of the bouncing balls carefully, you will notice that the direction of each ball changes according to the angle at which it bounces off any obstacles. Additionally, the speed of each ball’s motion increases the smaller the space it must move in. This is key to the player effectively capturing as much area as possible because by observing the motion of the ball, they can better predict where to draw their next line to avoid any collisions. If the game did not use any physics concepts and instead let the balls bounce in random directions, it would be much more difficult and frustrating to complete the game.

Of course, what we see in early games is nowhere near the level of real-world physics recreated in more modern games today. However, the same concept still applies to modern games. For example, in sports and racing games, we can see more realistic physics that allow the player to intuitively understand how they can manipulate game objects – think acceleration, reflection and gravity, to name a few. Incorporating real-world physics into gameplay also helps the player to feel more immersed in the game, as if it were happening in real life. This is especially useful for virtual reality worlds that focus heavily on recreating as realistic an experience as possible. If the fundamentals of physics did not exist in the game, offending elements in the game world would stick out like a sore thumb and it would not appear to be a virtual reality experience any longer. In fact, several games have received several poor reviews because their in-game physics do not work as the players expect it to, thereby reducing the quality of the gameplay.

Are Video Games Always True to the Laws of Physics?

We have discussed the importance of physics in video games. However, on the other hand, most games do not stick completely to real-world physics. Video games are, after all, games, and are played for the sake of enjoyment. A notable example in several games where game designers bend the rules is when two objects collide with each other in the game world. In real life, if a high-speed moving car collides with an obstacle, such as a curb or another car, we can expect both objects to sustain considerable damage and the car may not be able to operate any more. However, if a car racing game followed real-world physics exactly, it would likely be more infuriating than immersive to have the player’s car crash and ruin their race. As such, developers tend to design their game physics to be a little more forgiving instead of following the rules too strictly.

Another example is gravity. While games do incorporate the basics of gravity, they also tend to allow the player to jump higher and fall slower than how one normally would in real life. These mechanics are key to maximising the player character’s potential in many games, especially in open world areas where the player is free to explore the game world. Additionally, games are more forgiving than real life when it comes to penalties for falling. The player character can usually survive a much higher fall and sustain milder injuries than they would in real life, which allows for more mistakes to be made.

Food for Thought

What other uses of physics have you noticed in video games? Some of them may work well, while others may not be so ideal. When this happens, players might get a feeling that something is off about the game, even if they are unable to pinpoint exactly which physics principle the game is violating. Can you identify any instance of physics applications in video games that should be realistic? We will be discussing more in this week’s physics home tuition in Singapore. Stay tuned!

Students coming to JC Chemistry from O-level Chemistry may find the huge jump in content a difficult challenge to tackle. While Chemistry in secondary school merely touched the tip of the iceberg, Chemistry in JC gets far more advanced and covers even more topics. JC Chemistry also shifts the focus to more of hands-on and practical applications, requiring students to apply the concepts they have learned instead of simply memorising and paraphrasing them. While a student may have been able to score well in O-level Chemistry by memorising key concepts, they would find themselves at a loss in A-level Chemistry if they have not mastered the applications of Chemistry. It is thus essential for students to have a good grasp of the subject if they wish to score well.

The importance of Chemistry cannot be understated, as it forms the basis for many science-based study paths and careers. Although studying Chemistry at its base level may seem dry, it is imperative that JC students know the subject like the back of their hands before they can move on to applications of Chemistry in higher studies.

Additionally, since other areas of science employ Chemistry concepts, it is a requirement in JC that science-streamed students take Chemistry on top of their choice of Physics or Biology. Students can choose the level of Chemistry they wish to take, namely an elective level at H1, a full subject at H2, or an advanced course at H3. Most students will take either H1 or H2 Chemistry depending on their proficiency. If a student scores well in H2 Chemistry at the end of JC1, they might then be offered the option of H3 Chemistry, to be taken concurrently with H2 Chemistry. H3 Chemistry is especially challenging because students who pick it up will only do so at the start of JC2, leaving them a mere 10 months or less to master the material. As such, most students find themselves turning to JC Chemistry tuition to keep up the pace.

Components of the A-level Chemistry Exam

Both H1 and H2 Chemistry share the same Paper 1 and 2, while H2 Chemistry adds an additional Paper 3 and 4. Paper 1 is the multiple-choice component, consisting of 30 questions to be completed in an hour. This amounts to about two minutes per question, presenting a harrowing situation where students must scramble to complete their Paper 1 on time. It is thus important for JC students to get their multiple-choice answering down to a science, using smart methods such as elimination to clear questions with the utmost speed and accuracy.

Paper 2 consists of structured and data-based questions. These questions are challenging and not only require a student to have a strong understanding of the content, but also the know-how to apply that knowledge. When tackling Paper 2 questions, it is important for students to spot the keywords and answering styles each question is looking for. Our recommended way of preparing for Paper 2 is to practice extensively on past-year papers and assessment books.

Paper 3 is only applicable to H2 Chemistry. This paper comprises free-response questions, designed to test students’ understanding of key concepts, evaluation of the questions and high-level application of what they have learned. Section A of Paper 3 contains three to four questions, all compulsory, while students will be given the option to choose one of two questions in Section B. This is where students may encounter time constraints if they attempt one question halfway, only to realise that they are unable to answer all the parts and must change to the other question. To avoid this, it is important for students to read through both questions and all their parts carefully before selecting one to attempt. Choosing wisely is the key!

Like Paper 3, Paper 4 – which comprises the practical component – is likewise only applicable to H2 Chemistry. Accounting for 20% of the final grade, the practical exam is not to be taken lightly. It includes a written Planning component on top of carrying out the experiment and presenting your findings. It is a good idea to read the end of the question first to find out the objective of the experiment, before identifying the concepts tested and proposing an appropriate method to test the hypothesis. Be prepared to explain the reasoning behind choosing that method, as well as the conclusions you can draw from your results.

Understandably, JC Chemistry, especially at the higher levels, can be a massive hurdle to overcome. Fortunately, our expert Chemistry teachers are here to the rescue. Rest assured that once you attend our A-level Chemistry tuition, all your fears about JC Chemistry assessments will melt away under our expertise.

Many students who go through the Singapore education system will require tuition at one point or another. A-levels are known for being extremely difficult and can be stressful for students who fall behind in class. This is when tuition is key. One subject that is known for its difficulty is Chemistry. Often, JC chemistry tuition is required for students to achieve the highest grades as well as to pass the exam altogether. While everything needed is covered in the classroom, the complexity of each topic means that additional tuition and learning is needed to gain a full grasp of the topics. It is argued that chemistry is one of the hardest topics a student can take and one in which students will experience more difficulty compared to others at every level. This makes tuition at a higher level, such as A level chemistry tuition not only an option, but essential.

Both high school and college students can enjoy many benefits from working with a JC Chemistry or A level tutor, working with a center to achieve the best possible grades. A tutor can help tackle the more complex topics, helping students to fully understand even the most complex questions that may come up in their papers. But how can you find a tutor and to what extent can they really help students?

Some teachers go as far as to say that JC and A Level chemistry tuition are essential to a student succeeding in the subject. Unlike many other subjects, chemistry requires a student to both memorise and apply their knowledge to master the topic. It is simply not enough to remember a chemical formula. Instead, students must understand the reasons behind each equation they see and the implications it may have. As the level of chemistry increases, this skill becomes even more important where the ability to understand and balance equations becomes a fundamental part of the subject.

To provide you with a better understanding of how JC chemistry tuition and A Level chemistry tuition can help your child, we have broken down the Singapore GCE A-Level curriculum for you.

Junior College

Students are required to look at their L1R5 rather than their L1R4 in order to enter a Junior College in Singapore. It is possible to deduct a maximum of 4 points from the raw L1R4/5 score of a student. Junior College itself is a 2-year programme in which the GCE A-Level exams or Singapore GCE Cambridge A-Level exams can be taken. It is important to note that the Singapore GCE Cambridge A-Level is slightly different from the International Cambridge A-Level and therefore you should always specify the course being taken when applying for tuition.

JC chemistry tuition courses are specially designed for students who ate taking their Singapore H2 chemistry examinations. It helps students to understand the more complex concepts that come with chemistry. Tuition will often make use of several learning techniques such as tuition material based on subjects, videos and discussions in which the understanding of a particular topic can be tested. Often, the teaching method used will be tailored to the needs of the student, this way, they can get the absolute best out of each session. These types of courses are ideal for students in JC 1-2 and from IP year 5-6. They help students to fully understand the importance of asking questions in chemistry, which is key to gaining a full understanding of the topics involved. Using these questions, students can build on their chemistry foundation and previous topics they have studied.

For students who encounter problems with the topics taught throughout the foundation year, tuition may be the best option to catch up with the rest of the classroom. Courses usually focus on both complex and foundational topics such as energy, chemical bonding, kinetics, hydrocarbons and key elements in the periodic table.

Finding A Great Tutor

Finding the right tutor for your child is the best way to help improve their grades. The right tutor will help them by using the most applicable teaching methods that may not otherwise be used in the classroom. They will help to fully understand the needs of your child, learning the subjects they enjoy, the ones they dislike and the ones that need the greatest work on. So, how can you find a great tutor?

The key to this begins with the depth of your research. Although conducting research may seem like a hassle at the time, it will pay off in the future. Begin by researching tutors that teach the chemistry level you are looking for. At first, your search can be relatively generic to gain an understanding of the different options available. As you begin to start picking options, you should consider features such as the tutor’s qualifications, experience, and personality. It is important to remember that every child works in their own way and therefore there is no ‘perfect general tutor’, only one suited to their needs. Analyze your child’s characteristics, the way they learn and the way they enjoy the learning process. You can then compare their needs to what tutors offer in the market. The more in-depth you complete this process, the more likely you will be able to find the ideal tutor!

Chemistry lessons in school are often extremely fun consisting of test tubes and numerous experiments within the classroom for assessment. However, often children can really struggle when it comes to the topics themselves. While the topics are interesting and have real life application, they are also difficult at times. From the amount of memorization required for the concepts themselves to the application of theory in exams makes Chemistry one of the most difficult subjects taught around the globe. As a result, often both JC chemistry tuition and A Level chemistry tuition are required to achieve the highest possible grades. Without this tuition, the subject can appear too difficult and, in some circumstances, will make children develop an aversion to the topic altogether. However, with the right tuition, children can not only begin to enjoy the subject, but thrive and achieve high grades throughout the year.

Reasons Why Your Child May Need Chemistry Tuition

Before you consider enrolling your child into an A Level chemistry tuition program, it is important to consider a few factors that will contribute to whether tuition is needed. These factors will help you decide tuition is the best route.

Poor Chemistry Grades

If your child is continuously producing low grades in the subject compared to many other subjects in school, they may need tuition to boost their grade. Tuition can help to boost their confidence in the subject as well as help them grasp an understanding of the topics they believe are most challenging.

Continuous Procrastination

If you find that your child is always trying to focus on something else when it comes to Chemistry homework, this may be a sign they are struggling. If this happens in one or two sessions, there is no cause for alarm. However, if this is this the case with each piece of homework, then tuition may be a good investment.

Low Confidence

If a child is continuously doubting themselves in Chemistry lessons, then it is unlikely they will gain very much from a class with 30 other students. They will feel afraid to put their hand up and will struggle to interact with the teacher. This will inhibit their ability to learn and can result in poor grades should it go unchecked.

Learning Disabilities

If your child has struggled with learning disabilities throughout their life, this should not prevent them from taking chemistry class if it is something they want to do. There are several JC chemistry tuition and A Level chemistry tuition classes designed for children with disabilities, who tailor their teaching to the needs of your child.

You Want Them to Achieve Top Grades

If you want your child to achieve the top grades in a chemistry class, then private tuition may be needed. Achieving a top grade in any class is difficult. It is even more difficult for chemistry classes. Even the most gifted children will struggle without the help they need to get to the top.

So, where can you get help?

The two best options are chemistry tuition centres and private chemistry tuition. In a centre, chemistry will be taught to a small class (of around 5 students) which will allow the teacher to spend more time with each child. With private tuition, your child will receive a one on one home-based session in which they will focus on topics they are struggling with.

How to Find The Right Chemistry Tuition Centre for You?

There are many tuition centres throughout Singapore that your child can choose from. However, how can you find the right one for them? Here are some of the things you need to take into consideration when it comes to finding a centre for your child.

The culture

The culture of a teaching centre will say a lot about the practices that go on there. Children learning should have the opportunity to do so whilst also socializing and making new friends. To find out about the culture of a centre, you can look at reviews, ask someone whose child goes there or have a discussion with the owner of the centre.

The teaching materials used

Teaching materials should be at the very top of your list when looking for a chemistry tuition centre. Make sure all the materials are not only of a high quality, but also apply to the exam your child will be sitting. Make sure they are all up to date and in line with the current curriculum. Most centres such as Edu Aid will allow you to make an enquiry online or in-person to gain further insight into the materials that are used.

Look at the testimonials and reviews of former clients

In the age of the internet, over two thirds of all people check the reviews on a site before making a purchasing decision. If you have found a centre you like, type it into Google and look at the reviews. This will provide you with some insight as to whether they are right for your child. You want them to have the greatest possible impact on their education and know that your money is being well spent. By checking the reviews and even messaging former clients, you can rest assured knowing your child is getting the absolute best out of each session.

Physics is arguably one of the most interesting of all sciences. It teaches you why things move the way they do and the many forces acting on us at a single time. However, many children and adults will struggle when it comes to learning the subject. Due to the depth and somewhat complicated formulas involved, children will begin to believe they are not good at the subject, rather than understanding that this may not be due to the subject itself. Instead, it is the way in which it is taught. It can be taught in ways that do not work for that individual and can cause them to become stressed and demotivated. They may find the subject too demanding and will simply shut down when it comes to learning.

If you or your child struggle to understand theories and explanations in your physics class, then going to a private tutor may help. There are many private tuition companies in Singapore who can provide you with expert tuition that can help you to understand the topic of physics. Rather than sitting at home looking blankly at a textbook, you can begin to engage with the subject and even enjoy the many fascinating theories that come with it. Here are some of the main benefits of using a physics tutor in Singapore.

Personal Attention

One of the greatest disadvantages to classroom learning is that the teacher cannot help everyone. Although they are available to answer questions, some students may feel intimidated to ask them, in fear of being laughed at by others. As a result, they fail to learn which can leave them feeling demotivated and hating a class altogether. Students in the classroom are unable to get the attention they need to learn and therefore may struggle in science.

With a physics tutor in Singapore, a student will gain all the personal attention they require to thrive both within and outside the classroom. The tutor can answer all questions they may have, as well as teach in a way that applies to the student, rather than the generic method used throughout classrooms around the globe. The tutor can make follow-up questions to solidify understanding throughout the session, whilst also moving at a pace that fits the student, rather than the classroom.

Improved Flexibility

Unfortunately, classroom learning is simply not flexible. It is designed to meet the needs of everyone as moves at the pace in which a syllabus must be taught. This can leave students feeling behind and overwhelmed with all the work that must be completed. As a result, students may get left behind altogether while the focus on the class moves.

However, when using a private tutor, the opposite is true. The student can effectively dictate what is learned throughout the classroom as well as the areas of focus for each session. This allows them to go back on topics they may have struggled with, doubling down to understand the topic in question. As a result, they can tackle more complex tasks and theories when it comes to the actual exam, as they have learnt these topics in a flexible environment.

More Assessments

While many students struggle with the learning process, others may struggle to put the information down on paper. Assessments may put students into such a stressful state, that they simply forget all the information they learnt in the past and feel overwhelmed. Taking an assessment, a physics assessment is a skill that must be developed. A physics tutor can help to teach assessment technique, especially when it comes to longer questions worth more points. With many assessments available, a student can learn these skills whilst at the same time, learn how to manage their time in an exam. This will help to reduce the impact it has on their emotions, allowing them to thrive when it is needed most.

Practice, Practice, Practice

We have all heard the phrase before, practice make perfect. This is the case when it comes to physics. The subject at its core is interesting but can be extremely overwhelming to individuals who have no knowledge of experience. Practice can provide them with the confidence they need to effectively understand even the most complex terminology and apply this knowledge in an exam environment. Studies around the globe have shown that with effective tutoring, students are able to move up not one, but multiple grades from their sessions. Each tuition session will allow them to learn a little more that can be applied in the upcoming class for the greatest effect. Practice before the class, during the class and after the class to master the subject.

Chemistry is a complex subject but one and can influence many other classes such as GP tuition in Singapore. Most students who choose to take the subject will at one point or another require help and support. The best way to get help with you (or your child’s) chemistry lesson is to look for a highly qualified tutor. It is one thing to take a class, however, to gain a full grasp of the subject, significant time and effort requirements need to be made. By looking for extra classes to supplement your lessons can help you sharpen your skills and enhance your overall understanding. This is particularly important if you are doing well in your class, or plan to take on chemistry as a career. Here are some of the key benefits that you can gain from by taking JC chemistry tuition.

Improved Grades In Class

Achieving top grades in a chemistry class is extremely difficult at all levels. Whether you simply want to pass the class, or you would like to achieve the top grades, chemistry tuition is a must-have. With such a practical subject, simply learning from the comfort of your own home is not possible. You need real life interaction with the elements you are learning about and with the right environment, this can be a great way to learn. With the help of experts on the subject, you can not only begin to understand the topics you are being taught, but also enjoy learning them at the same time. This is a fantastic way to prepare for your exam and by the time you must take the test, you will feel well-prepared and confident.

Develop Interest in the Subject

With chemistry being such a varied science, it is possible to find at least one interest in the subject. Looking for this interest will significantly enhance your ability to learn. Once you find a love for a topic, you can begin to apply it to other areas of the science, allowing to you further enjoy the subject. Within the chemistry class itself, you will begin to meet like-minded individuals who are passionate about other areas of the subject. You can teach them about the ones you love, whilst learning about their favourites. This process will make learning chemistry extremely fun and enjoyable. You will not only learn a whole new subject but make friends throughout the process.

Access to Learning Resources

One of the main benefits of working with a chemistry tutor is access to the many reading materials available. Many chemistry textbooks can appear somewhat overwhelming at first and can even scare an individual away from the subject. It can be almost impossible to read and prepare for an exam with reading materials that suit you. A tutor can point you in the right direction in terms of what books you can buy. This will allow you to learn directly from textbooks that are appropriate for the topics you are learning. After all, there is no point learning about university level Chemistry if you do not understand the fundamentals.

The Knowledge Sticks with You After School

One of the most rewarding aspects of any chemistry tuition is that you develop a real understanding of the subject. Though scary at first, the subject can be extremely fun and exciting, especially when you consider the many practical sessions that you can learn from. Through the process of learning, you will learn about topics that will stick with you forever. Long after you have finished your class, you will still remember the things that you learnt in your chemistry tuition sessions. This is ideal if you plan on working in a science based job, but is also just very interesting to know and understand in general.

Most importantly, make sure that you enjoy your chemistry sessions. Give the classes a chance and before you know it you would have fallen in love with the topic. After a while, you won’t be able to wait for the next session!

Chemistry is up there as one of the most interesting subjects. Development of practical skills, the examination of scientific issues and intense study of life’s foundations are some skills acquired at an advanced level by students. Some of the topics that will be covered for the benefit of your child’s improvement include hydrocarbons, chromatography, compounds, electrodes etc. Students have fun studying advanced level chemistry. But the truth is that no one subject can be liked by everyone. What one may find easy, another will likely find difficult and intolerable. Chemistry is no different. While so many students have fun studying chemistry, some need some form of help. This help can come in form of meeting your classmates to put you through on concepts you may find difficult or you may try a more effective option of joining a tuition centre dedicated to breaking down the most difficult concepts in chemistry into simple understandable terms. These tuition centres are committed to making the most complex-looking equations in chemistry look like A, B, C.

Learning chemistry at an A-level and learning chemistry at O-level are entirely two different things. The former can be very frustrating and tiring sometimes. This frustrating feeling usually arises because you are in the battle alone. The difficult look of chemistry can be changed by an experienced tutor who will break down the topics and explain them in easier and more creative ways. The subject will be more engaging if analogies and creative videos are used to explain the concepts. Analogies are better suited to help students because in simple terms, it entails the use of more common and relatable concepts to explain chemistry topics. This goes a long way to aid student’s understanding and to clarify some grey areas.

A-level chemistry is incomplete without tangible science laboratory experience. There a stark difference in performance between students who participate in laboratory practical that is well-structured and students who don’t. The former fair better. Practical lab experience encourages students to move their education to a higher level and makes a transition to the industry smoother. The goal of the laboratory experiments is to practice what you have learnt in theory. The curious glow that is seen in their eyes during the experiment is compensated by a better performance in examinations.

The truth is that the school tutorials, class lectures and every effort made to help students understand chemistry better in school may not be enough. A private chemistry tutor will in truth, be the missing link, the catalyst required. By joining JC chemistry tuition, you will better grasp and enjoy chemistry concepts you once found boring or gruesome in worst cases. This type of tutoring can be offered by EDU AID Home Tuition Agency.

Potential Benefits Associated with A-Level Chemistry Tuition

Improved grades in chemistry

With the wealth of experience of your tutor, if you put the required effort and time, you will surely have better grades than you use to. With a little more commitment and focus to your lessons and with diligence in attendance, the sky will be your starting point.

The once ‘tough chemistry’ will suddenly be fun

Another added advantage is the potential promise of making the learning an enjoyable experience. Chemistry can be quite complex, especially for A-level, but with the right tutors, the journey will be made smoother and the experience a fun one. By joining a level chemistry tuition classes in Singapore, you are setting yourself up to be led by the very best tutors into the amazing wonderland of chemistry.

Understanding becomes easy

The goal of these tuition classes is to aid students, to enable them to understand the grey and complex areas in chemistry. The well-trained tutors are not only skilled, but they have a wealth of experience to draw from on what works for students. With the analogies that will be employed, you will begin to see chemistry in a better light.

The knowledge sticks

The analogies selected to be used, the method of teaching, the examples and everything that goes into explaining a concept is tailored to help you remember what you learn. Everyday examples are used, so it is very common for you to be reminded of a difficult chemistry concept by seeing something within your environment or remembering a childhood experience.

You are taught by professionals

Your confidence taking this course should be from the calibre of your tutors. They are made of well-trained professionals who deal with concepts in chemistry from day-to-day. These professionals are also trained in the management and human relations so you are sure of friendly service. You will be taught not only by a tutor but a friend who will stay calm and patient throughout the lesson, entertain your questions and make sure you fully understand the concept being taught.

They say that we’ll never truly understand the universe we live in – yet science goes a long way to filing in the blanks. One of the most important sciences, the one that can help us to understand how the world around us operates, is physics. For any young Singaporean student looking to move into a scientific background, there’s a considerable chance that they would have to learn physics. As such an important part of the modern curriculum for so many subjects, though, it can be a make-or-break study.

What if you fall behind? Jeopardising your future through early struggled with physics can be worrisome. However, there are many reasons why physics could be a topic you struggle with.

Particularly in Primary and Secondary education, the size of classes can vastly limit how much personal time a teacher can spend with a student. It could mean that students find it hard to learn at the same pace as the rest of the class. In a worst-case scenario, this could mean that you end up entirely left behind from the rest of the class.

At that point, your main option would be to invest in physics tuition in Singapore. Some see tuition as ‘cheating’. Let us investigate that claim – and then find out if tuition is the right choice for you.

School education is not always enough

Without doubt, one of the most common fallacies is that you can learn everything you need to know within school hours. Even if you were to be taught physics five days per week, it’s still going to amount to around 5-6 hours of physics learning per week. Is that enough when it plays such a big role in your future? It’s unlikely.

You should not see tuition as cheating; it’s merely reinforcing the knowledge that you need from a subject that you do not get nearly enough class time to master.

You might not bond with your teacher

Teacher and pupil need to share a mutual respect and a chemistry for the learning process to be a success. If you find that you cannot forge a strong partnership with your teacher, then you might find it nigh-on impossible to learn physics.

That is why physics tuition in Singapore is so massively popular. If you cannot do all the learning on your own, then you should be able to get help from a tutor. You cannot always rely on the teacher alone; you must also take responsibility for your own education. A tutor can help you to focus and hone in on where you need to grow.

Self-education enforces flaws

You should never look to try and educate yourself based only on what you know. If you cannot grasp key subjects, don’t just try and move on to the next topic. This is a very poor idea, and it will often mean that you end up missing out. By reinforcing an incorrect understanding of the topic in your mind, you’ll struggle to develop. A tutor helps you to see where the flaws in your thinking are.

By only listening to yourself, you make it much harder to progress and improve – you could wind up reinforcing the wrong interpretation of key physics lessons.

Take back your confidence

When you are looking to hire a tutor, it’s probably because you are lacking in belief and confidence. You should never see having to bring in more help from a tutor as anything other than a mature move and a sensible decision on your part, however.

Why? Because taking back your confidence is essential to helping you improve, grow, and understand the subject. That is why, if you want to grow as a student, you should look for help rather than simply let your confidence get you down.

If you cannot learn due to time constraints in class or chemistry issues with your teacher, it will get you down. Hiring a tutor should solve that. Soon, your confidence can return, and you’ll feel more prepared to continue learning about physics.

Get home tuition in Singapore

So, the most important thing to note is that home tuition in Singapore for physics is 100% possible. It comes down to making sure that you can hire the right person for the job, and hiring a tuition group that can:

Deal with the tuition at a time that is most suited to you, not the tutor.

Work on the parts of physics you struggle most with, not least.

Improve on your ability to grasp the fundamentals of physics as a whole.

Limit your mistakes and help you work out where you might be going wrong.

Therefore we want to touch on the above idea that using home tuition is ‘cheating’ – it is nothing of the sort!

As a student, you are only as good as the teacher that you work with allows you to be. If they are going too fast, or they have not explained something to you in an understandable manner, then you could have some problems in making that work. That is why we recommend that you spend some time getting home tuition put in place as soon as is possible – you can then make-up for lost time.

When it comes to learning the challenges academical studies of Singaporean education, finding the time you need can be tough for gp tuition. Deadlines and demands in school, though, can make it even harder. How can you possibly learn everything that you need about, for example, JC chemistry, when you are tackling so many other subjects? School time is often not enough to learn what you need. When your intent is to master a certain topic or subject, you might need GP tuition in Singapore.

Tuition is essential for making sure that you can spend more time working with a tutor to help you work out your flaws as a student. When it comes to working on tough subjects like chemistry, it can be hard to grasp every concept. In the time that you have in class, with teachers often having to split time among students, getting dedicated assistance is a huge challenge.

That’s why we recommend that you get help from GP tuition instead. When you have all that free time at night, it pays to bring in a tutor. Why? A tutor can help you to work out the limitations that you have regarding your chosen subject.

They could look at where you are going wrong and help you to grasp the foundational concepts better. Sometimes it’s not the topic that you are struggling with, but how the topic is explained. You might find it hard to understand how a certain lecturer or teacher puts the point across. With your own tuition program, though, you can pick a gp tuition Singapore who you can easily connect with and learn from. That is going to be invaluable in making sure that you can continue to grow and improve as time goes on.

Why do you need GP tuition in Singapore?

As mentioned above, school hours alone for a certain subject are not enough. Given what you learn in class, you often need to try and find your own personal time to look over the concepts taught. Doing so when you have so many other classes to learn, though, can be tough. Therefore, if you wish to achieve academic success and progress, you often need to make the most of your own personal time. This includes bringing in a tutor who can do the job for you and make sure you can get the assistance that you need. With the help of a tutor, you can:

Learn at your own pace, making sure you never feel like you are being left behind by the rest of your class.

Improve your understanding of challenging concepts by taking the concept and looking at it from a different perspective.

Work on your communication skills with your tutor, ensuring that you can become more effective at explaining issues.

Gain self-confidence by making improvements and seeing the improvements develop in front of you as time goes on.

Reduce the fear that you are not learning quick enough, meaning that you are never left behind by the rest of the class.

Improve your foundational understanding of the topic, helping to solidify the fundamental concepts which matter.

When you get used to doing all of this, you are far more likely to see genuine progress and improvement as time goes on. You will get to make genuine changes to the kind of person that you are, too, as you will start to see greater progress as a student. If you find it hard to make the knowledge that you need stick in a classroom environment, on-demand tuition may work instead.

Should I hire a tutor for JC chemistry tuition?

One of the most common issues that you need to deal with when it comes to tuition is choosing the right subject. For example, JC chemistry is one of the hardest subjects to get your head around. However, this is an essential qualification for many people in professional industries. As such, being able to get your head around the challenges that you might face when it comes to learning JC chemistry is very important.

If you wish to learn the subject, though, you need to make sure that you hire someone who can go through key factors like:

Atomic structures and chemical bonding.

Chemical equilibria

Energetics and kinetics

Alkanes and alkenes

Organic chemistry

These are some of the most important and foundation concepts in all chemistry learning that you will do. Getting to grips with these foundational factors is so important, as it will become a major part of your learning. How could you move onto JC2 chemistry, for example, if you cannot fully grasp JC chemistry at its most basic level?

That is why hiring a tutor makes a lot of sense. A good tutor will work hard to ensure that you can continue to improve and grow as a student. They will also ensure that you can get more help in learning the challenging concepts. Some parts of the chemistry process might seem easier to grasp than others – but do you have time with your in-class tutor to cover the parts that won’t stick? It isn’t likely.

That is why hiring a tutor can help you to become more understanding of the challenges in JC chemistry. Like any other topic, it’s about making sure you are taught by someone who you can understand, learn from, and respect accordingly. Don’t just put the time that you get into class alone into your education. Put in some time at home and online with tutors, and you’ll soon bridge that knowledge gap that is holding you back.
